The Philippine Women Judges Association (Region 3) in partnership with the Kababaihang Manananggol ng Bulacan spearheaded the joint outreach program for the women of Bahay Kalinga in Sta. Maria, Bulacan last December 16, 2019.
The PWJA and KMB's "Damayan ang Kababaihan" was a reflection of its aim to reach out for neglected and abandoned elders and to give them a joyful event in time for the Christmas season.
The joy and cheerfulness in the eyes and smiles of the lovely elders are evident as they sang and danced with the lady judges. Some choose to be quiet and be seated alone but others were expressive and some were really queens of the dance floor.
The PWJA Region 3 and the KMB
also donated shampoo, toothbrush, cologne, toothpaste, bath soaps, laundry detergent, dishwashing soaps, baby powder, alcohol, milk and assorted biscuits. The group also provided for the lunch and dinner of the residents of Bahay Kalinga.
Bahay Kalinga is a home for elderly and abandoned women. Their ages range from 50 to 80. Currently there are 62 women where 10 are bed ridden.
